Spencer West

Spencer’s charisma and dynamism captivate audiences every time he speaks. Whether addressing corporate leaders, non-profits or the education world, listeners are mesmerized as Spencer describes his journey after losing both legs from the pelvis down at the age of five,  to coming out and identifying as a gay cis male, and when he climbed, and summited, Mount Kilimanjaro using his hands and wheelchair, raising over $500,000 for clean water in East Africa.

His many accomplishments and lessons learned along the way, led him to discover the techniques business leaders, professionals, educators and young people can use to redefine possible in their own lives and careers.

Infused with humor and humility, Spencer’s talks offer take-home tips and life-lessons on how to find opportunity in every challenge, while instilling hope and empowering leaders to motivate others to create positive change.

As a featured speaker and co-host of thousands of events including the WE Movements Signature event WE Day, he has graced over100 WE Day stages across the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. He has spoken alongside luminaries and performers such as Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Prince Harry, former-U.S. Vice President Al Gore, Mia Farrow, Martin Luther King III, Jennifer Hudson, Natalie Portman and Macklemore to name a few.

Spencer’s incredible story is documented in both film and print. His journey is featured in the documentary Redefine Possible: The Story of Spencer West, which debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival and in his book Standing Tall: My Journey.
