Dawn Faith Mackay

I am South African born and, since marrying my husband, I now call Australia home.

I am a purpose-fueled overachievertrying to recreate the “village” for the 21st century woman, so she and I can be challenged, inspired and equipped to live our best lives. I believe that women around the world are part of a global sisterhood, even if we don’t always feel or act like it, and we have so much to learn from and teach each other.

Influenced by my upbringing and a desire to make a difference in whatever way I can, I’ve dedicated the past 20years to the areas of social change and the arts. I’ve had the privilege of working with the likes of Nelson Mandela’s 46664, the Foundation for YoungAustralians and, more recently, Global Citizen - where I designed, launched and managed a Fellowship Program for African youth, funded by Beyonce Knowles and Tyler Perry.

In 2015, I recorded my debut EP, “Audience of One”. In 2016, I wrote and released my first book, “Dear God”, which tells the story of my first daughter’s passing and how I found my way back to life and hope. In 2017, I created, produced and hosted a TV talk showcalled “Deep & Meaningful” for Viacom (BET Africa), which has since aired across Africa, the US and UK.
